Architectural Technologist

With the expansion of our offices expected to be completed by late February 2007, we will be seeking to appoint suitably qualified architectural technologists with a minimum of five years experience to HND / BIAT standard, fully conversant with Auto Cad ADT, to work on a varied range of residential and commercial projects. Candidates should be self-motivated, and able to work within a very friendly team or on their own initiative. Tasks may include preparing detail planning, building regulation and working drawings, detail specifications and contract / site liaison. Chartered Structural Engineer

The opportunity is for a Chartered Structural Engineer having a minimum of three to four years post Chartership experience (a requirement for Professional Indemnity Insurance), to assist in the diversification of services that our practice can offer. You will be self motivated in both developing our own in-house projects, and developing your own client base. Please review our website for the varied range of projects that we undertake.

You will need to be able to undertake structural surveys and reports, develop scheme designs in steel or reinforced concrete, retaining and pool structures, simple beam design for Building Regulation Approval with all supportive calculations, be able to detail and prepare bending schedules and so forth. You shall also be capable of developing road and sewer sections for housing estates all for Local Authority Approval / adoption etc.

Salary is negotiable, and all software and workstation requirements will be set up as required by you. For the right candidate, the position could ultimately lead to a share equity stake in the Practice and Directorship.
